💉Fillers are synthetic substances that are highly stable, biodegradable, and cause few allergic reactions. The most commonly used substance today is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found in normal skin and whose quantity decreases with age. Therefore, synthetic hyaluronic acid has been invented in the medical field. It is injected into the dermis to replace degraded collagen fibers. This helps to fill in facial contours, fill in deep wrinkles, and improve facial proportions.

⚙️ Mechanism of Action of Fillers
The mechanism of action of hyaluronic acid (HA) is when the substance binds to water in the skin, maintaining its shape. This helps to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful appearance, and improving facial proportions.

📝Preparation for Filler Injections
1. ⚠️ If you have any of the following medical conditions, please inform your doctor before undergoing filler injections: You have a history of drug allergies, a chronic illness, or are taking regular medications, and you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

2. 💊 If you are taking medications/supplements that can increase bleeding, such as aspirin, warfarin, vitamin E, fish oil, ginkgo biloba extract, ginseng, or garlic, please inform your doctor as these may cause bruising due to subcutaneous bleeding after injections.

✅Post-filler injection care instructions:
1. 🚫 Avoid touching, massaging, or kneading the injected area, as this may cause the filler to migrate from the injection site.
2. 💧Drink plenty of water, at least 6-8 glasses or 2 liters per day, especially during the first 4-5 days. Drinking water helps the filler, which is a hydrating substance, work more effectively.
3. 🚿 For the first 2 weeks after injection, avoid applying skincare products containing AHAs, BHAs, or retinoids, as these may irritate the injected area.
4. 🍷 Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages for the first 2 days after injection, as these increase blood flow and may cause internal bleeding and bruising at the injected area.
5.  🚬Avoid smoking for the first 2 days after injection, as this delays wound healing. For lip filler injections, avoid smoking or using straws, as these may cause lip deformity.
6.  🔥Avoid steaming, saunas, treatments, or laser treatments for the first 2 weeks after injection. This will cause the filler to dissolve more quickly.
7. 🆘 If you experience any abnormalities, such as pain, severe swelling, redness, pale or dark skin, or vision problems, see a doctor immediately.

⚠️Possible Complications After Filler Injections
1. 😣Slight swelling and redness at the injection site may occur, which will resolve on its own within 2-3 days.
2.🤕 A rash or bruising may occur at the injection site, which will resolve on its own within 1-2 weeks.
3.🩸If the filler enters a blood vessel, it may cause a blood clot, resulting in organ damage due to reduced blood supply.
4. 🧱Raised/uneven skin may develop due to the filler being placed in an excessively superficial layer or the large molecules of the injected filler.
5. 🔄Migration may occur due to massage, which can disrupt the shape of the filler.
6. 🚨Allergic reactions, including raised, red, and inflamed lumps, may occur months or even years after the filler injection.
